Come take a stroll with your Living God!

OH Yeah!

This is the Almighty God I serve,
  • He Who never lets His people down!
  • He Who never lets His people be put to shame when they are following Him exactly!
  • When His people humble themselves and pray, HE DOES Answer!
  • Oh death where is thy victory!
When Jesus lived on this earth, He did not live like the way His followers are living now. He did not live in constant fear of what will happen next. He did not live in any fear for His provisions. He did not live worrying whether Father God would answer His prayer or not! He knew His Father way more intensely and deeply for anything on this earth to put a dent in their relationship. In return, Jesus never had a loss!

In Jesus God dealt with death with the ultimate punishment for sin and rendered it powerless so God's creation can now have life abundantly. So what profit is there in a human's death, nothing but sorrow especially if one leaves without knowing God their Creator. David says in Psalm 29 as follows

Psalm 30 : 9-12
9 What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit (the grave)? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your truth and faithfulness to men?
10 Hear, O Lord, have mercy and be gracious to me! O Lord, be my helper!
11 You have turned my mourning into dancing for me; You have put off my sackcloth and girded me with gladness,
12 To the end that my tongue and my heart and everything glorious within me may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.
There are people on this planet who are struggling and living in ignorance of this Loving and Living God. The ones who think they know God (mostly because they were born into the religion that sort of believes in Him) but have no real relationship with Him, continue living a nominal and powerless life.Blending in just like the rest of the people around them, with no difference to show forth for this AWESOME GOD. Some followed a protocol viz. believe - get baptized - receive the Holy Spirit - continue with your life like nothing happened!

I have a bone to pick with such as these. No, I am not saying I have completely grasped all that God has spiritually, scripturally, theologically offered to me, but now that I have begun listening more than just blabbering during my prayer times with Him, I am getting a chance to hear Him. So from this point of time in my spiritual journey in life, I want to urge my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Rise up, take charge, sit down with God Your creator, to Whom you have access because of a very heavy price that His Own Son Jesus paid for you and more than that He even sent His precious Holy Spirit to guide you into your relationship with Him!

NOW because of Jesus Christ there is nothing stopping you from having a relationship with your Heavenly Father, the same One Who strolled with Adam and Even in the cool of the day in the garden of Eden. So come brothers and sisters to take a stroll with Your Living and Loving God!

P. S. Check out the other meaning of stroll
  1. walk in a leisurely way
  2. a victory or an objective that is easily achieved
Stroll with God like you have all the time in the world to hang out with Him!

No Fear Here! No Really I Mean It

Have you seen those T-shirts with a pair of eyes drawn on it and the words "No Fear Here!" written on them? None of us is immune to fear. I don't think there is anyone beyond the scope of some fear. Fear of losing your job, losing a loved one, losing your finances, losing your house. Fear can paralyze any man. These are fears that try to choke out God's plan and hope for our very life. Some recognize fear and shrink away from doing whatever needs to be done to tackle it, some think they have no fear but are unknowingly operating from it and live in denial and never conquer it.
We are created to be the person that God has fearfully (reverential fear) and wonderfully made us to be on this earth. Let no one snuff out our life by creating fear in our lives.
You see fear is exactly like faith but flipped!
Fear = Expecting something negative to happen
Faith = Expecting something positive to happen
Its very easy to walk from one into another in the speed of a thought.

The one place I have found where fear is completely nullified and faith is strengthened is in the Presence of our Living God. God has not given us the Spirit of fear again to become slaves but the Spirit of Power, Love and a Sound Mind! Yes truly in God's Presence there is no fear.

In Psalm 27 God gives David the formula to become an overcomer. David had to go through times of intense fear, for his very existence was in danger. He declares

"The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?"
"8 You have said, Seek My face [inquire for and require My presence as your vital need]. My heart says to You, Your face (Your presence), Lord, will I seek, inquire for, and require [of necessity and on the authority of Your Word].
You have that power in God, for He knows every need you have and every need you will ever have in the future! Take heart, live boldly and get closer into His Presence where fear is rendered helpless for God is an ever present help in times of trouble. Jesus Christ our Lord lived on this earth knowing He was to become a sacrifice every single day of His life on earth but He never once feared it. Father and Son who had never in all eternity had to be separated and the wrath of sin had to be quenched through sacrifice of a Holy One so all mankind may benefit! You and me ! The price for our freedom from fear is very heavy so let us draw near to the One , even our Lord Jesus, and learn through Him to approach our God of Love and live out everything God has planned for our lives as He placed us upon this earth!

Be not afraid for God is with us, even until the ends of the earth!

An Associate Child of God

Background: 2 Kings 13:20-22 "20 Elisha died and was buried. Now Moabite raiders used to enter the country every spring. 21 Once while some Israelites were burying a man, suddenly they saw a band of raiders; so they threw the man's body into Elisha's tomb. When the body touched Elisha's bones, the man came to life and stood up on his feet.
22 Hazael king of Aram oppressed Israel throughout the reign of Jehoahaz. 23 But the LORD was gracious to them and had compassion and showed concern for them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. To this day he has been unwilling to destroy them or banish them from his presence
. "

These verses bring me to the end of Elisha's valiant life, in the Living God. It was amazing for me to see that even though, Elisha had passed away, his bones still had the power of God. In Acts 19 we read "11God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, 12so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them." More than that, even with our Lord Jesus, when the woman with the issue of blood, touched the hem of Jesus' garment she was healed.

Lessons I learnt:
  1. Associate-When we hang around someone too long, we start getting impressions of that person on our life as well. In our terms we call it to "rub off on"-meaning: to become transferred or communicated to by example or association". Elisha had been associating with God so closely that God's power rubbed off on him, even to his bones. God's power was so intense on Jesus and His disciples that even the inanimate objects like clothing carried the power of God. I had never thought of associate as a powerful word, probably because I hear of it more in a business perspective, but it is, it even goes as far a meaning "union". The Amplified Bible expands associate as [closely and habitually]. So can you imagine what can happen to our lives, when we closely and habitually associate with our Lord Jesus.

  2. Realise-Can we know God's power has rubbed off on us or not?? We may not know immediately, but the people who will see us, outside of us, they will know, because they will experience it. I had a friend who I used to like a lot for her happy nature, she had a british accent, soon in a few months I was sounding like her, no, I didn't know I was sounding like her, other people told me so. Well I liked that accent a lot so I didn't mind that. You see, we will not know, even Moses did not know his face was shining after he had met God, people were afraid when they saw him and then he realised something was different about him, his face shone. Exodus 34:28-30.

  3. Demonstrate-For us who are already steadfast about our Living God, believing is seeing.(Hebrew 11) but for those who do not know, they would need to see first in order to believe. What best example there could be than to show through our lives. People read us first through our behaviour and then our words. Our words will have no impact, unless our life can demonstrate it. Before we can even share the gospel to anyone, we must have our lives in close and habitual association with our Lord Jesus, once we've got the association right, you're life automatically starts demonstrating signs of the Saviour in it, may not be to you, but definitely to others who see you.

Conclusion: We may have a heart to serve the Lord, but we may not be finding an "opportunity". Looking at the example of Elisha's bones, I don't think Elisha might have had a clue what his bones could bring about. Also, for Paul, I don't think he would have himself been aware of the power his handkerchiefs were bearing. For both Paul and Elisha, they could share God's love and power with the obvious crowd, but their lives bore far more results than that. Their associated life with God, touched the obvious before them, and also those in the bakground who had watched him from far. Our lives are capable of being an example of association with the Living God and touch lives far beyond the obvious. No matter how dead we may feel, when our lives come in contact, in associations, with the Giver of Eternal Life, His life flows right through us and people will see the results of the association.

Lean on Him(Jesus our Lord)

When troubled times head your way...
Lean on Him, He'll guide your way

When danger lurks around you
Lean on Him, He'll protect you.

When you're trusting on His promises
Lean on Him He'll prove it in surprises

When you're down by the dumps and no one cares..
Lean on Him, He'll be there.

When reaching for God's highest
Lean on Him to shine the brightest.

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6)

I am going to North Carolina today...will be back in 2 or 3 days. Till then take care my readers and always remember, God's heart is always open for you.
Jesus Loves you and desires to increase your fellowship with Him. There is no force on earth or in the heaven to separate you from the Love of God. The only one who can separate you from God's Love is "you". Its upto you, how much you want God to take care of you. The Almighty God, the Living God, the Creator of the universe and so much more.

God Bless.

Our Wonderful Redeemer Lord Jesus

I had missed writing the study on Ruth 4 so I am presenting it here.. We see, that after Ruth had surrendered herself at the mercy of her kinsman-redeemer Boaz, knowing only Boaz would redeem, Boaz gets to work immediately. Now Ruth and Naomi had another kinsman-redeemer apart from Boaz. In Ruth 3:12 we read, (Whole Chapter) "Although it is true that I am near of kin, there is a kinsman-redeemer nearer than I."Boaz could not redeem Ruth and Naomi, before giving a chance to the nearer kinsman-redeemer. He was only second in line as a redeemer, to that kinsman-redeemer for Ruth and Naomi. If the other kinsman-redeemer could not or would not want to redeem Ruth and Naomi, then Boaz could take over.

Now Boaz, gathered up all the elders in his town, as witness for the redemption of Ruth and Naomi. " 2 Boaz took ten of the elders of the town and said, "Sit here," and they did so. 3 Then he said to the kinsman-redeemer, "Naomi, who has come back from Moab, is selling the piece of land that belonged to our brother Elimelech. 4 I thought I should bring the matter to your attention and suggest that you buy it in the presence of these seated here and in the presence of the elders of my people. If you will redeem it, do so. But if you [a] will not, tell me, so I will know. For no one has the right to do it except you, and I am next in line." "I will redeem it," he said. "
5 Then Boaz said, "On the day you buy the land from Naomi and from Ruth the Moabitess, you acquire [
b] the dead man's widow, in order to maintain the name of the dead with his property."
6 At this, the kinsman-redeemer said, "Then I cannot redeem it because I might endanger my own estate. You redeem it yourself. I cannot do it.
" (Ruth 4:1-8)

Notice here that, the kinsman-redeemer was ready to redeem the property of Naomi, but was not willing to raise up a family of the dead. In those days the tradition of the kinsman-redeemer was to buy back all the property that their relative(now dead) had sold due to poverty. Also if they had any widows left behind, they were to take them as wife and raise up a family on behalf of the relative who had died, so that their generation does not die. The kinsman-redeemer nearer than Boaz, could redeem partially, because he was not interested in continuing the family line for the dead relative. Now that he was unable to redeem or did not want to redeem. Boaz is able to redeem Naomi and Ruth, because he is the next kinsman-redeemer in line and is willing. "9 Then Boaz announced to the elders and all the people, "Today you are witnesses that I have bought from Naomi all the property of Elimelech, Kilion and Mahlon. 10 I have also acquired Ruth the Moabitess, Mahlon's widow, as my wife, in order to maintain the name of the dead with his property, so that his name will not disappear from among his family or from the town records. Today you are witnesses!" "(Ruth 4:9-10)

The lessons I learnt from Ruth 4

  1. The two kinsman-redeemers-Ruth had 2 kinsman-redeemers, but only Boaz was willing to redeem them completely. Boaz was willing to redeem not only the property but also the widow Ruth. We too have 2 redeemers from our sin and destruction. The law and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Law has everything written down, so that if people are able to follow it, we can be saved from sin and death. However the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, fulfilled all the law so that we can now trust in His salvation and be redeemed from the curse of death. Its what the book of Romans talks about.
  2. Total Redemption-The nearer kinsman, was willing to redeem the property, but would not want to have a family with Ruth and Naomi. For us too, law could save us only partially -law can only tell us what is right and wrong-it can only save us if we're on the right, else we're condemned, with no relation to our God as a Father, but the very act of our Lord Jesus to come down and rescue us, by paying for our sins, we got connected to the family of God. We became children of God by believing in our Lord Jesus death for us. (John 1). Not only that, Ruth's children will now maintain her husband's family name through Boaz. Jesus did the same too "Acts 16:31 (Whole Chapter) They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household." Our redemption through Jesus is not only for us, but for our entire family. So if you have family members not yet knowing Jesus, rest assured Jesus died for them too and the redemption stands good for them too and continue praying that they will realise and recognise Jesus as their redeemer.
  3. A public declaration-Boaz took Ruth as wife, before a whole community, in public. So also does our Lord Jesus. Our Lord Jesus, even though He was absolutely blameless and pure, took up our sin and did not die for it in a hidden corner, but right on top of a hill, before the whole world. Not secretly, but in public, declaring in public, "I take away the sins of the world." Can you imagine the sins of this entire humankind, from then until all the ones who aren't even in this world yet!!! Now thats total redemption.

Conclusion: The Law, which was given to Moses, that if we may abide by it, we will live and be blessed else we will die in sin. God knew that we would not be able to cope up with such a high standard of living, hence He sent His one and only Son, Our Redeemer Lord Jesus, who paid our death penalty for which we were held guilty by Law-(like Boaz paid for Ruth and Naomi's poverty stricken condition). All we need to do is believe that Jesus died for our sins and we immediately are redeemed, and become God's family. Thats how simple God has made it for us, I don't think there is anything that could be simpler than this. In the book of Ruth, the whole story of man and his redemption from sin and death is so beautifully adressed, along with the saving Grace of our Lord Jesus. Hope we see the lesson God gave through their lives.

What is attractive about my LIFE?

Is it my beauty? Is it a special ability I have? Is it the money? Is it the fame? Is it my family? Is it my faith? Well what do I want my life to show...I asked myself one day.

If it is beauty..people would be attracted to see what a wonderful person I am...how good I look...how well I walk and talk. People would keep loving me or admiring me as long as I am what they wanted to see. Its like in movies you've got to look good...real good...on screen and off screen. So now what happens when I grow a little older, when cheeks sag, everything goes south when you fight for them to go north..more dieting...more pills, more beauty parlors...more skin care...more of trying to maintain that fleeting beauty which I wanted to show...alas I couldnt make a mark so loud that people could hear it even from my grave and beyond...it would be gone with time.

If it is an ability I have, a talent...like I sing...I dance ...and I can perform the way I want the world to see and admire me and thus attract them to my LIFE....wow that would be better..here looks may not matter much..however as with time advancing in years...muscles grow weak...weaknesses spring forth through those once amazing bones...slowly I lose my strength till someone still younger and stronger takes my place the way I did when I displaced someone older during the start of my stardom to advertise my LIFE...alas I couldnt make a mark so deep that people could be lost in the depths of researching my life and finding my strength....ends here my shallow weight and strength.

What if its my money? Yeah that would do me a lot of good....yes through all my toil all the money I collect to live a luxurious life..and marry someone who I think is in love with me for myself..not for my wealth and success...not sure though whether we both married for the same reason "love"...or ..."lust"...then again..money is something ilusive.. here now and gone again...so I think I found myself a strength after all..yes money..and to make more of this money (coz it keeps getting over...as I want to spend it on the best I can afford)...I have to work very hard..harder than ever to keep it to myself and preventing prying eyes from snatching it away from me...family cannot keep their heads on their shoulders obviously because their head was always taken care of by the money I earned...with sweat and whatever means..possible...that slippery money would not be able to touch people so much that they would get attracted to my life..its true though people would want to know how I made it big and read maybe..methods of how to make money...which may or may not work for them the way it did for me...that wouldnt make my life so interesting for "everyone" would it...wouldnt have such an impact as I though it would...they all think about my money more than me...
Now about my faith..what is it I believe in..that makes me more and more attractive..such attraction that others would wanna spend time with me...people would want to know more about me...about how "I" am made...whats that exact amount of all that ingredient that makes me up..."For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he:...."..we are more of what we believe..or have faith in..what motivates me..what is my source of sustenance...I think the best undying attraction my life can produce is my source of living.....so if my source is my face/looks/beauty it is not long lasting..it fades away. If my source is my talent/fame it dies out with my age and strength which someone else mightier than me can always take away. If my source is my faith..that inner leading..my strength is on something or someone who IS from everlasting to everlasting..then my life story doesnt end..it continues...more to enrich someone else's life.To add to..append..increase...bless someone else as much as my LIFE is a blessing to me itself. Yeah its more blessed to live for someone else you love than for yourself. I dont know but that definitely brings more satisfaction...when u give to someone instead to take for yourself....
So what would I want my LIFE to stand for attracting..I think my strength in a Living God..my obedience to Him to enable me to share all that I am..with people who need ...to stand in gap and share...through my life my existence and the source and meaning of my LIFE...even Lord Jesus.
Ultimately as Paul says in the Bible "I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me "
